💳 Rental Requests
When you submit a rental request, the payment amount is temporarily held by Stripe.
If the request times out or is declined, the amount will be immediately released back to your account.
If your refund takes longer than 48 hours to appear, please contact your bank directly.
Once a lender approves your rental request, your card will be charged by By Rotation.
You can make changes or cancellations up to 48 hours before the rental period begins.
✅ Completed Rentals
When you mark a rental as ‘Complete Rental’, this triggers payment for the lender.
Payments are processed automatically and may take up to 8–10 working days to appear, as outlined in Stripe’s FAQs.
🧾 Invoice Refunds
When an invoice is approved by either the lender or renter, payment is initiated automatically and can take up to 8–10 working days to process (per Stripe’s FAQs).
Invoices include:
Late Fees
Damage Fees
Agreed Partial Refunds
Agreed Full Refunds
⚠️ Invoices can only be processed while the rental is still open. Once the rental is completed, invoices can no longer be actioned. You can contact support for more assistance if you need to make a charge after the rental has been completed.
